How Does Marketing affect your Business?

Digital Marketing isn't going anywhere. Digital marketing Strategies are stronger now than they have ever been. Most business owners base their business success on how much business they are doing and of course how much money they are making. Business Success starts with a marketing strategy. If you are marketing then you know what you are or aren't getting out of it. If you are not marketing your services or products there is a good chance you are missing out on a lot of potential business or potential customers.

What can marketing do for my business?

The days of newspaper ads reaching the world a few times a week have long gone. With social media platforms constantly evolving and potential customers spending more time surfing online. Your marketing campaign may rely on an effective market. It may also rely on your products and services being relateable to the audience.

Some business owners won't spend a dime on marketing and will do ok. If they have that strong of a business model great!

But the majority of the world is investing in a digital marketing strategy that produces long term results for years to come. Marketing can eat a hole in your pocket or fill it up. This depends on what kind and how well you are marketing to your target audience.

There are different marketing tactics that can be utilized. Inbound marketing and outbound marketing. Both are great outbound is nothing new and lines up with traditional Wall Street tactics of finding leads and staying on the prowl. Inbound marketing is more of a salt lick, you continue to attract your audience to get them in due time.

Outbound vs Inbound

When you are putting together your marketing budget and covering all of your brand awareness needs. Remember that you will want to utilize both In and Outbound marketing strategies.

What is the difference?

Outbound Marketing relies on you actively pursuing

leads and going after them. This is usually a one

on one conversation or personalized conversation

with the client. You can potentially see results quickly and it is measurable. Think of a call center pursuing leads or new clients.

Inbound Marketing, on the other hand, is the passive approach to you waiting for the leads you want. This is based on customized search segments for your audience. It can take a year or more for you to really start seeing your inbound leads pickup and produce even close to what you expect. It is almost impossible to measure Inbound Marketing but there are ways of measuring pieces of it.

New Products or Services?

Whether you are trying to evangelize a new product launch or your services your marketing tactics will make a difference. The key to sales and marketing is target audiences. Your companies brand may not be a common name but with the right marketing, it could be on the screen of thousands of potential clients each day.

Small businesses are generally seen struggling with marketing as there are little to no funds for a marketing budget and the company has little to no credibility or reputation in the industry.

Not all of them of course but in this case, you must research your business and know how well you are competing with competition and other marketing statistics. You can have a Marketing Expert provide a b2b competitive analysis for your business. If you have a strong social media following and more consumer-based products social media marketing can go a long way. If you're a business to business manufacturer or service then there may be other avenues that render better results.
